ABLE Intern Application

The ABLE Intern position gives members the chance to work with the Executive Board of Albany Business Leaders Emerging. After an application process, a select number of ABLE members will be awarded the position of ABLE Intern. The ABLE Intern Coordinator will also mentor each Intern and serve as a liaison between them and the executive board. The term for the ABLE intern position is one semester.


We are looking for very motivated and dedicated members of ABLE who have shown significant interest in leadership roles. This position is to be taken as seriously as any other leadership role, as your work not only reflects on yourself but on the entire organization. As an intern you are required to attend the majority of our social events. Our semester trip is mandated for interns!


Responsibilities of an ABLE Intern:

Each ABLE Intern will be responsible for assisting E-Board members with tasks such as:

  • Event planning
  • Presentations and Public Speaking
  • Fundraising and/or Member relations
  • Content creation


For example, an Intern may be paired with the Director of Community Service to plan an initiative centered around community engagement. As an Intern, you are expected to communicate effectively with the E-Board and complete tasks on time and with detail. Your Intern Coordinator will be there to assist and guide you throughout the semester as you have any questions.

  2. Attach your resume.
  3. Please make sure you submit your application/resume as a PDF !!! 
  4. Put into an email and send the application as an attachment to able.ua@gmail.com
  5. The subject of the email should be written in the following format: 
    1. ABLE Intern Application for John Smith, Sophomore. (Adjust for name and year)
    2. Please include time slots you are available for interviews as well!!


Please complete by 2/17 We will be conducting interviews 2/23 from 6:30pm onward so please send availability for that time in your email! If there are any time conflicts with our interview time, please let us know in your application, so we can accommodate your interview!

Make sure to dress business casual for the interview!
