Jason Cotugno
Faculty Advisor
"I have been serving as the Faculty/Staff Advisor for ABLE since 2008. During this time, I've been a fixture at the weekly e-board meetings providing input on programs, events, and activities as needed. I am truly impressed by the incredible students who make up the executive board. Their commitment and dedication has enabled the club to grow with each passing school year. In April 2012, I was honored to receive the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award during the annual President's Awards for Leadership Ceremony. In addition to supporting ABLE, I also an one of the two Academic Advisors in the School of Business. (Along with the Director of Undergraduate Student Services, Susan Maloney)."

President
"Senior year of High School I came across ABLE’s Instagram and I knew I wanted to get involved with it. I met a couple of Executive Board members at Block Party and after hearing everything ABLE had to offer, I knew I had to join. I quickly became friends with other members along with E-Board and this gave me the confidence to apply to be an intern. Soon after my internship I gained the Director of Affairs position and I love every minute of it! Recently I gained the Vice President title and I’m so excited to represent such a strong and hardworking group here at the University. In a short period of time, ABLE has taught me the necessary skills needed to be successful in the professional world and it has also led me to meet a great group of people. I can't wait to see what the next two years brings ABLE."

Shae Brunette
Vice President
"I joined ABLE my Fall semester of my Sophomore year. I was virtual my freshman year of college and coming to campus in the Fall was a huge change for me. I knew little to no one so I thought joining a club would help me get acclimated. I was first introduced to ABLE at the Block Party and was honestly blown away with everything ABLE offered, they were so welcoming which was so comforting. I attended every meeting after that and applied to be an intern which was the best decision I could have made because I met my best friends and made lifelong memories. I am now your Vice President and couldn't be happier! I cannot wait to work with such an amazing and inspiring group of people."

Secratary
"I joined ABLE during the fall semester of my freshman year and this will be my second semester as a member of the E-Board. I joined ABLE because of my passion for leadership and desire to continue gaining knowledge in professional development. I was made very aware of all of the networking opportunities available to members which has helped me find others with similar interests and the obvious- make the most amazing friends. I love that this club is so versatile with different social events, fundraising activities, community service, and workshops. There’s always something going on with us and just can’t wait to expand our ABLE family!"

Treasurer
"I joined ABLE because I was looking to get more involved on campus and to make new friends. Becoming a part of ABLE has been the best decision I have made at Ualbany thus far. I have already made so many friends and countless memories while also becoming more professional and making new connections. ABLE is truly an incredible group of people that pushes each other to be the best versions of themselves."

Ray O'Keeffe
Creative Director
"When I first arrived to University at Albany, I knew I wanted to make the most of my college experience. Of course growing as an individual, but more importantly growing as a professional. After venturing out and about around campus, I discovered ABLE's Informational flyer. I attended the informational and immediately felt at home even with the professional setting that ABLE provides. I attended the weekly meetings and knew I wanted to impact and motivate others as ABLE did for me. I started out as a member, moved on as an intern, and I now currently possess the role of the Creative Director and I couldn't be happier. I look forward to growing our family and growing with you all!"

Rebecca Bitman
Events Coordinator
"I joined ABLE the first semester of my freshman year, and I quickly realized how much this club had to offer. After attending weekly meetings and several events, and seeing how welcoming the E-Board was, I knew that I wanted to apply for an E-Board position during my sophomore year. I am so glad that I was given this opportunity because I want to offer others the amazing experience that ABLE provides. I think that one of the best parts of our club is that there is a professional side where we can learn how to assist in our future careers and make connections with others, as well as a social side where we can bond with our fellow club members. I am really looking forward to planning exciting events, and to working with all of our members. ABLE has truly taught me a lot, and I’m thankful for all the people that I have been introduced to."

Grace Firman
Events Coordinator
"Coming into University at Albany as a fall freshman I was in search of ways to get involved. I attended ABLE’s informational and recognized right away that it was an organization I was meant to be a part of. Little did I know how welcoming the club would be and how many great opportunities would be provided. After the inspiring experience of being an ABLE intern, I decided to apply to be an Events Coordinator. Throughout my semester on ABLE’s Junior Executive Board I was graciously guided through this new and ambitious responsibility from quality leaders on the Executive Board itself. I could not be more thankful for the connections and friendships that ABLE has allowed me to form. I am overwhelmed with excitement for the bright future that this club holds."

Ellie Sarratori
Intern Coordinator
"I joined ABLE in the spring semester of my sophomore year, because late is better than never. I knew I wanted to get involved with people who have the same dreams and aspirations as me, and ABLE was the perfect place. As a local to Albany, the name Albany Business Leaders
Emerging was very intriguing, because I want to be a business leader in Albany. The open and welcoming environment of the club really drew me in, enough to make me apply for the internship my first semester in the club. I don’t regret any part of my decisions thus far. Getting involved with ABLE really showed me that clubs can be fun and uplifting, but also professional and educational. I feel honored to be here and I can’t wait to see where this year takes us!" -
